More new sewing room pics

Windows!  One of  four is installed.  The large multi units are very heavy and will have to wait until we have some help to lift them into place.

The hardwood flooring is done.  We still need to tile the entryways.  Much of the extetior is now covered with hemlock boards and bats.

On the design wall

Here is a look at the latest project.  Woven blocks in blue, gray and aqua.  I have 18 blocks done and aiming for 42 total so almost halfway.

Quilting Sew Dear

Swirly curls pattern...looking good at about half way done.  The black minkee is pulling through a bit but it still looks good.  There is no batting so this will be a super soft and cuddly blankie when it is done.

Love Lives Here is finished!

Now I just need to find a home for it.  It is not a good fit for my walls, decor, etc.  but I am sure someone will love it.

Quilting progress Love Lives Here wallhanging

Some free motion quilting.  I like it so far..just hope I don't mess it up! The hard part is deciding what to do next. More feathers for certain.

Oh Deer! Quilt top

After much procrastination I finally finished the quilt top for my new couch blankie. I feel in love with the Oh Deer! collection from Moda and I wanted to make something fun. The piecing reminds me of a window and the prints and colors are so retro. I couldn't resist the polka dots to tie everything together. Can't wait to see the finished product!

What I have been up to

I have been working to complete a quilt that will be donated to the Dansville Foreign Exchange Club to raffle for fundraising.  I did not use a pattern, just kept adding parts until it was finished.  The quilting is custom FMQ.  The colors are the Dansville school colors although hoping the quilt will appeal to a wide audience.  Would love to hear thoughts or experiences on how much the club could expect to earn on the raffle.
